The Computer Techniques Engineering Department was established in the academic year (2005-2006). Within the following issues: 

• Keeping up to date with academic engineering innovations in the fields of electronic systems and communication computer network systems. 

• The department accepts graduates from secondary schools of the scientific branch as well as graduates of technical institutes in the corresponding technical specializations. 

• The study lasts four years while the language of study is English. The graduate is awarded a bachelor's degree in computer techniques engineering, which is equivalent to the certificate granted in the specialty by the technical colleges in the Technical Education Authority. The graduate is also granted the Engineers Syndicate identity and is permitted to practice the engineering profession in both the public and private sector. 

• Students in the department can choose between two specializations beginning in the third grade: computer communication networks or computer electronics.

Objectives:

•Training students in basic knowledge and skills to be scientifically and practically qualified to deal with modern technologies and to practice the engineering profession upon their graduation.
•Developing collaboration between the local and international scholarly communities in the sphere of scientific research, as well as developing cadres to serve the community and solve problems.
•Applying international standards in technical education, which contributes to improving the efficiency and quality of graduates at the local and international levels.
•Contribute to the renaissance and progress of society through leadership in providing educational programs, holding seminars, conferences, and continuing education.
