The Department of Dentistry was established in the academic year 2018 as a department of the ah-hadbaa university college and it is one of the modern departments that aim to graduate specialized cadres to work in the modern and diverse fields of dentistry in the institutions of the Ministry of Health and Higher Education,where the graduate is granted the title of a dentist with a bachelors degree and the duration of study in this specialization is 5 academic years

The course is in an advanced stage of education and medical devices with qualified cadres to provide the best medical services, job, educational function and scientific connection.

Preparing and rehabilitating highly qualified cadres in various fields of dentistry who are able to compete in the fields of work. The department seeks to appreciate its educational services using scientific methods and modern technology, and that its curricula keep pace with the latest scientific developments, their applications and repercussions on society, which contributes to achieving the goals of economic and social development in Iraq.

Objectives:

1. This department aims to spread health awareness and prevention methods necessary to maintain oral and dental health, to prepare efficient staff of dentists who are able to provide distinguished treatment services to patients for various specialties of oral and dental medicine and surgery, including dental implants and the use of modern technologies and technology in the areas of diagnosis and treatment, As well as providing medical and technical advice to the various sectors of the state.
2. Developing the cadres of the scientific department through their participation in seminars, conferences and courses inside and outside Iraq.
3. Achieving the bonds of scientific cooperation between the scientific department and other dental colleges by concluding and activating bilateral agreements.

4. Exchange of scientific and research experiences with universities and specialized institutions at all levels.
5. Emphasizing the role of academic guidance and developing the spirit of belonging to the homeland and spreading the principle of teamwork.

After studying for five years, the graduate of this department is awarded a Bachelor's degree in Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery.
